Valentines day! Ballet lessons! Flowers! Food! All kinds of lovely things (and a few sad things too).
Are you ready for a look at my pocket pages for February? Let’s go!
I’m trying to keep track of at least some of the books I’m reading – and ‘A Small Madness’ by Dianne Touchall was beautiful, and well worth remembering.
Poor Arty-bear got very sick with a tummy bug early in the month. We ended up having to take him to hospital because he got dehydrated and just couldn’t stop throwing up. His little ID bracelet is stapled in there.
Do you record the sad stuff in your albums, or do you prefer to keep it to happy memories?
His first proper ballet lesson at his new ballet school! I almost died of the cute. And I continue to flail around ridiculously at all the adorableness every single week.
That’s a more fun wrist band!
These boys have my heart. They are adorable dorks.
I was raised to believe that enjoying your appearance, liking your body, or taking too much interest in how you look was vanity, and something to be ashamed of. As a result, I find it hard to include pictures of myself in my albums.
But they’re a record of our family, and I’m 33.3% of that equation, so I’m trying to put myself in the picture a bit more. Even if it’s just bits of me at a time.
Valentines day was really lovely this year. We started off with a brunch with our mates, then when we got home there was the most beautiful bouquet waiting for me <3
And then we went out for an awesome Valentine’s dinner, which was a real treat!
I had to put a copy of our In Bed Project portrait in the album. You can read more about that here.
More ballet! Because I have turned into an epic dance mum!
I’m taking a class about painting florals this month, and thought I should include one of my artistic attempts in the mix. It’s actually a print out of a photo of an artwork rather than an original, because I particularly liked that little bit of the painting.
How’s THAT for some vanity!
And’s that’s it for the month. How is your 2016 memory keeping going so far? Have you hit your stride, or are you still warming up?
