Here is the third video in my felt flower series! Woo hoo! Thank you for the kind and supportive things you’ve said about the last two, it’s been so encouraging! I hope you’re all having the best time with your petals and your glue guns.
We’re working towards making this gorgeous wreath, and I’m showing you each of the component parts one at a time, before the series culminates in a video walkthrough of wreath construction. If you missed them, you can find the tutorial for the pompom centred flower here, and the anemone here.
And now, for the wild rose! All the instructions you’ll need are in the video, and you can find a supply list below it.
felt flower tutorial 3 – wild rose from Essie Ruth on Vimeo.
Supplies:*
- 22 gauge florist’s wire
- Felt sheets in dark red, yellow, and green
- Low temp glue gun (and glue)
- Wire cutters
- Scissors (the rad left-hander-friendly scissors I use in the video are these ones, and I can’t recommend them highly enough)
For your reference, and for sharing, here is a handy pinnable image:
Have fun with this one – it’s a simple little flower, but also quite striking. It certainly adds a special something to the wreath.
Next week I’m going to show you how to make some leaves, and filler flowers. See you then!
